Along with a free summer concert series, the
Cultural Arts Division brings a variety of high-quality,
professional performances into our City during the fall, winter
and spring. By means of a special partnership, concerts are held
at the charming and acoustically perfect setting of the
Farmington Players Barn Theater, located at 32332 Twelve Mile
Road. Performances and events have included such groups as the
Michigan Opera Theatre, MSU Professors of Jazz, the Chenille
Sisters, and Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding, to name a few.

THE MOTOWN BEAT!

Farmington Players Barn Theatre
That fabulous Motown music that we all love, including the
great harmonies, energetic choreography and soul of Motown
entertainment will have you dancing all the way home, as the
incredible Motown sound is brought to life by the fine
singers of Serieux, the group known for regenerating Motown
music! Hear favorite songs made famous by groups such as The
Temptations, The Contours, The Four Tops, and many more.
Serieux performed as “The Temptations” in the film “Marvin,
My Brother—the Marvin Gaye Story” as well as at the Motown
Tribute to The Four Tops. Special tribute artists will also
perform songs of Tina Turner and Barry White. A very special
concert!

Haunted Tour of Beautiful Historic Longacre House
Friday, October 7, 7:00 pm
Join us for a night of spirits and mystery as GHOSM, the
Ghost Hunters of Southern Michigan, present a fascinating
slide show and talk about their amazing, ghostly findings at
various locations around the state, known for their
paranormal activity. Afterwards, participants will be taken
on a tour with GHOSM guides through Longacre House to
experience the atmosphere and explore the possibility of the
legendary ghostly presence in this beautiful, stately
mansion. A very popular event!

RMS Titanic, the world’s most famous, luxurious ocean liner?
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Titanic, you and
your guests are invited to experience a circa 1912 dinner
with two lively and knowledgeable Titanic historians, who
will lead you on a fascinating and informative voyage
through the history of the Titanic, its passengers and its
place in society, as you enjoy a delicious “fancy”
Titanic-style gourmet meal. Get into the mood and come in
period dress, if you’d like! Special prize drawings and

Rock, Soul & Suds - Beer Tasting Party! Friday,
February 4, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM Historic Longacre House
It's time for a mid-winter night out -
groove to the great music of Rock and Soul, as you enjoy
tasting a wide range of flavors - over 40 beers - provided by
the knowledgeable staff from Meadows Fine Wine & Liquor. Plus,
Meadows will provide a "hard to find" table of unique styles
of beer, available at their store on Farmington Road. Rock and
Soul is a high-energy, powerful duo with an amazing
repertoire. Co-leader Bruce Pooley has performed all over the
world with such well-known singers as Jerry Lee Lewis and the
Irish Rovers. Teresa Marbury, the other half of Rock and Soul,
has sung at the best private clubs and biggest venues in the
area, from Detroit’s annual International Auto Show to the
Super Bowl, and is considered one of the finest female
vocalists in Michigan. These two amazing singers know just
about any song from any era - and provide the perfect music
