Details on Riley Skate Park

Riley Skate Park was designed by one of the best skate park designers in the country, Site Design Group. The 29,000 square foot all-concrete park will be host of local and national competitions and will become the area's premier hotspot for skateboarders and in-line skaters. The unique design provides elements for skateboarders/in-line skaters of all skill levels, and spectators the opportunity to view the activity in a comfortable park like setting, for free.

Riley Skate Park was named after a donor, George Riley and the Riley Foundation, who gave $500,000 toward the City of Farmington Hills Skate Park project.  Riley Skate Park is expected to attract over 200 skaters each day, in addition to the thousands of people who will visit the skate park for skateboard competitions and camps.  Currently, 722,000 people visit Founder's Sports Park each year for various activities and events.  28,300 vehicles pass by Founder's Sports Park every day.  The location of Riley Skate Park in Founder's Sports Park will provide corporate and individual donors tremendous exposure and area businesses economic support.

Mission

To establish a premier concrete skate park where skaters can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering people or damaging property.  To develop a well-maintained park open to skaters who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions.  To view this park as a community project, designed to satisfy the needs of skaters and families.

Location

Founder's Sports Park, 35500 Eight Mile Road between Gill and Halstead Roads.
